The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (KCCLA) introduces “Korean Storytime” on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 at 10AM on the 3rd floor of the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles in the Ari Hall.
Through “Korean Story Time,” Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles wants to introduce a new pilot project, which is planned monthly for the next three months, to provide an opportunity for young children to learn the Korean language and culture at an early age. Children will be able to build their imagination, discover new cultures, and expand their understanding of the surrounding world.
After the 3-month pilot program ends, Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will review and come up with ideas to actively promote Korean language and culture to people of all ages, and decide whether this project can be a permanent addition to KCCLA.
“Korean Storytime” will include reading a few Korean books aloud and learning Korean children’s songs. All interactions will be done in Korean, and the parents of young children can also engage in the activities with their children.
“Korean Storytime” is free, and parents with children of 5 years or younger can sign up for Storytime on the Korean Cultural Center LA website or over the phone. “Korean Storytime” will be a closed-group of the first 10 families who sign up to ensure active engagement.
