ELIGIBILITY:
This exhibition screening of modern and contemporary art is open to all artists residing in the United States.
EXHIBITION:
Selected artists will exhibit their artwork in a group show throughout 2012 (TBA).
RULES OF ENTRY:
- There is an application form for entry, you can download from our website and artists should carefully follow instructions to assemble slides and written materials.
- Artists' work completed in the past two years should be submitted.
- A minimum of 5 and no more than 10 slides or images should be submitted.
- Slides:
- All slides should be 35 mm (suitable for carousel projection)
- Should be placed in a 9"x11" clear plastic sheet for safe handling.
- Please indicate on each slide: The artist's name, title, year, medium, dimensions, and top of work with arrow.
- Digital images:
- must be jpeg format (at least 150 dpi) for PC
- Please indicate on each image: title, size and medium.
- Media: Work may be two or three-dimensional. All media is welcomed.
- Fees: None
- Size Restrictions: Our art gallery space is 2,500 square feet, and the ceiling is nine feet high (8"h Maximum).

- 5-10 Slides or images (jpeg CD for PC)
- Resume, Address, e-mail address and Phone Number
- Artist’s Statement
- Self-addressed Stamped Envelop

AWARDS:
- Award of Best of Show - $5,000
- Award of Distinction - $2,000 (For 2 selected artists)
Please note that applications not accompanied by slides will be considered incomplete and ineligible for selection.
CALENDAR:
- Slides must be received by November 30th, 2011
- Notification of acceptance/non-acceptance: February 2012
- Exhibition (in group): Throughout 2012
RETURNING SLIDES:
Non-accepted slides will be returned ONLY IF A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOP IS INCLUDED AND CURRENT ADDRESS INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE.
The Korean Cultural Center is not responsible for lost or misplaced of slides in the mail. Accepted slides will be retained for the permanent slide file of the Korean Cultural Center.
INSURANCE:
The Korean Cultural Center has an insurance coverage for artwork during the period of art exhibition only, not during transit (to and from the Korean Cultural Center).
SHIPPING:
Artists are responsible for shipping arrangements and all shipping expenses related to the show in which they participate.
