The first US traveling show of Goryeo Dynasty's Celadon, organized by Gangjin-Gun (Gangjin County), presents tradition and modern version of Goryeo Celadons.
Goryeo Celadon has been highly appreciated for its unique beauty and color, and its inlaying technique is the invention of Goryeo potters.
Featured in this exhibit are the representations of beautiful traditional Goryeo Celadon and contemporary ceramics inspired by traditional celadon.
Gangjin is a major county where Goryeo Celadon works were produced in the 9th and 14th centuries, and its remnants preserved.
On the opening night, there will be performances which show the process of making Gangjin Celadon, such as spinning potter's wheel and inlaying the surface of clays.
