Monday, June 29, 2020
Want to learn about Korean history and culture? Here's a short video on one of Korea’s traditional music, Samulnori. Originally performed in rice-farming villages to celebrate good harvests, Samulnori is a performance of 4 different percussion instruments that come together to form an upbeat and energetic tune.
The lecture on Samulnori was presented at the annual Korean History and Culture Seminar for Educators at the Korean Cultural Center LA by Professor Dong Suk Kim of UCLA.
