The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Wijin Park, Director) presents a special K-Performance Series(1) 'Saranga(Love Song) from Pansori Chunhyangga.'
In 2003, UNESCO recognized Pansori as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Pansori Chunhyangga is a love story between Seong Chun-hyang, the daughter of retired female entertainer Weolmae, and Lee Mong-ryong, the son of a newly appointed deputy delegate in Namwon City.
Pansori Chunhyangga has various different songs, but 'Sarangga'(Love Song) is the most important and famous song of the entire piece.
