The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Wijin Park, Director) and Korean traditional music (Gugak) artist, Seo-Yoon Jang present a special online project, English Pansori Series 'Korean Traditional Music 101' Ep 3. Heungbo-Ga on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 on the KCCLA YouTube channel.

This third episode is a part from Pansori Heungbo-Ga (Song of Heungbu). Heungbo and his family suffer from poverty after getting kicked out of their home which Heungbo's family and his greedy brother Nolbo lived together. But a swallow gives Heungbo a magical seed as a reward for saving his life, which grows into three giant gourds. This daemok is when Heungbo and his family harvest these gourds and open them up to feed themselves, two limitless chests filled with rice and money come out making the family rich in a day.

English Pansori Series is including an important or a highlight piece of a Pansori repertoire.
