This series begins with the ballet Ahn Jung-geun, Dance in Heaven to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea’s Liberation. Inspired by the final words of independence activist Ahn Jung-geun “When the sound of Korea’s independence reaches heaven, I will dance and shout for joy”  the work is a full-length original ballet depicting his life and his longing for independence. Presented during the 80th anniversary year, this performance carries special significance as it honors the hero who defended the nation and reminds us of the precious gift of independence.
