The Overseas Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation was established in 2012 as an affiliate of the Cultural Heritage Administration in accordance with Article 69.3 of the Cultural Properties Protection Act. The Foundation's extensive activities include surveys and research on Korean cultural properties found abroad as well as efforts to recover, utilize, and promote them. In July 2019, the Foundation will host
the 'Looking for Korea in the U.S.' event in Los Angeles in cooperation with the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles.
