The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Wijin Park, Director) and Korean traditional music (Gugak) artist, Seo-Yoon Jang present a special online project, English Pansori Series 'Korean Traditional Music 101' Ep 4. Simchung-Ga on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 on the KCCLA YouTube channel.

This fourth episode is a part from Pansori Simchung-ga (Song of Simchung). Simbongsa (The Blind Sim) gains his sight back after all the suffering Sim and his only daughter Simchung face, which is a grand finale of the repertoire. Simchung who sold herself to be sacrificed in the sea for her father gets brought back to life and becomes an empress. When the father and the daughter finally unite, Sim regains his sight back.

English Pansori Series is including an important or a highlight piece of a Pansori repertoire.
