Flashpoint 429 Concert

Flashpoint 429 is a concert that brings together community leaders and musicians to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the LA Uprising / 429 (April 29).

First, we will have Emile Mack(retired LAFD Deputy Chief) and Lora King(daughter of Rodney King) join as a speaker.

For musicians, Miljenko Matijevic, who has millions of fans worldwide and is an all-time favorite rocker among many Koreans, will play at Flashpoint 429. He will play the Korean song Rain from the Korean TV program Masked Singer (Yes, this is original program from FOX TV’s series), his hit She’s gone, and his recent release Trust in Love, which he was inspired to write as he watched news reports on the strained relations between North and South Korea.

Flashpoint 429 will also feature Pansori singer Yunwoon Seo, who will collaborate with Frank Fontaine (who played with Mariah Carey for years), Edward Resto (who played with Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Celia Cruz, Ruben Blades and many others) and Joe Rotondi (who played with Linda Ronstadt, Mambo No. 5 and many others).

Admission is free and reservations can be made online at www.kccla.org or over the phone (323) 936-7141.
