**Comfortable clothes and shoes or socks for dancing

On Thursday, October 31, 2019, the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (KCCLA) will present Traditional Korean Cultural Heritage Workshop with Kim Eung Hwa (The 27th Important Intangible Cultural Property of the Republic of Korea, & Foreign honorary successor of Traditional Intangible Cultural Asset by Ministry of Culture) at 1PM on the 3rd floor of Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles in the Ari Hall.

As the 5th workshop of the year, Kim Eung Hwa will teach the traditional Korean dance 'Taepyungmu'. Students will be able to learn and demonstrate the dance moves during this workshop.

Taepyungmu, designated Intangible Cultural Property No. 92, was completed by Han Song Jun, the progenitor of modern Korean folk dance. The meaning of the dance is ‘praying for peace and prosperity of the nation’. Among its various elements, characteristics movements of feet are distinguished. The dancer dresses in a queen’s ceremonial robe from the Joseon dynasty.
